1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using belongingscore.com, submitting a demo or consultation request, or participating in a Belonging Score school program, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.

These terms are between you and WishWell Counseling & Empowerment Center ("WishWell," "we," "us"), the provider of the Belonging Score platform and related school services.

2. What We Provide

The Belonging Score is a student connection intelligence platform designed to help schools understand, support, and improve student belonging. The website provides information about the program and a way for school staff to request a demo or consultation.

WishWell also delivers in-school programs, professional development, and implementation support under separate agreements with partner schools or districts. Those agreements take precedence for any conflicting terms specific to the delivered services.

3. Use of the Website

You may use the website for its intended purpose: learning about the Belonging Score and requesting information. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, or use any automated means to scrape or spam the site.

We reserve the right to suspend access or remove submissions that violate these terms or appear to be fraudulent or abusive.

4. Demo Requests and Consultations

Submitting a demo or consultation request does not create a binding contract or guarantee services. It allows us to follow up, learn about your school's needs, and determine whether the Belonging Score is a good fit.

All program details, pricing, and implementation timelines are discussed directly with the school or district and confirmed in writing before any work begins.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on belongingscore.com, including text, graphics, logos, videos, icons, the Belonging Score name and mark, survey instruments, reports, and methodologies, is owned by WishWell or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the site or program materials without our prior written permission, except for your own internal, non-commercial reference.

6. Confidentiality and School Data

Schools retain ownership of their student and staff data shared with us for program delivery. WishWell agrees to keep that information confidential and to use it only as described in our Privacy Policy, FERPA Compliance page, and any school services agreement.

We do not sell school data, use it for advertising, or use it to train commercial models.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and its content are provided "as is" for informational purposes. While we work to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every use case.

The Belonging Score is a signal for care and school climate improvement. It is not a medical, psychological, diagnostic, or disciplinary tool, and decisions about individual students should always be made by qualified school professionals.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WishWell is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the website or reliance on its content.

Our total liability for any claim related to the website is limited to the amount you paid us for website-related services in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars if no amount was paid.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WishWell, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the website, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the website shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
